I've been creating since I was knee high to a glue gun, making braided ribbon barrettes, paper mache pinatas, and eggshell mosaic boxes.

 

In 2005 I started my first Etsy shop , I was making custom bridal and costume pieces and I loved what I was doing until my husband gave me a few leather tools for Christmas one year. Something clicked like never before and I was suffering from full-blown obsession, I was on a quest to learn everything I could! I watched Youtube videos, poured over a stash of old how-to books a friend pulled from the trash, and spent many hours toiling away in my studio. I swapped out my sequins and feathers for leather and tools, and re-opened my store as Tilt Leather, unique leather accessories for women and men.

 

My focus was mainly belts, wallets and bags, all hand cut, tooled and painted. I absolutely loved it, but like a true Gemini I get ants in the pants and have to keep experimenting, reaching for more.
 

So, here we are today.... I've taught myself how to sew leather apparel and I'm pulling all my passions together. I combine my love of leatherwork with my experience of costuming and performance to bring you items that hopefully bring you some dang joy and get you out there honky tonkin' like the star you know you are.
